Easy to use
When talking about slackline kits, the ratchet setup system is the most popular today – and the Baseline uses it as well. The line consists of only two parts which you just wrap around the trees, join by a ratchet and tighten as you like. After reading the manual or watching video, you’ll be able to set it up in a few minutes.
The ratchet works smoothly and it’s easy to crank, also the rubber grip on brake release is a nice add on.
For everybody
The biggest advantage of the Baseline is its universality – all levels of users can use it effectively. It’s made of a low-stretch polyester which makes it easy to walk and therefore perfect for beginners, both kids and adults (the maximum weight it can hold is 300 lbs).
While it’s not designed specifically for tricks, it still has enough slack for various bounces and jumps – so even intermediate or advanced slackliners will enjoy it. Plus it can be used as a cross trainer for other activities or improving your core strength and balance. In short – it’s a line for the entire family.
Length and webbing
You can choose from two different sizes – for most occasions, the 50ft (15m) is completely sufficient. However, if you have the space and would like to try some longer walks, get the 85ft (25m) – you can start with shorter setup to learn the first moves and utilize the full length after you get some experience.
Slackline Industries also introduced the concept of TrueLength – that means the advertised length is the length of the main part which you can use for walking. Plus you’ll get about 8ft of line on the smaller part where the ratchet is.
The webbing has a bright red color (plus there are orange and pink variations as well), it’s tough and doesn’t wear.
Conclusion: If you want quality and universal slackline kit that is very easy to set up and use, Baseline is the right choice for you. Durable and not too expensive – we can definitely recommend it.
